Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the DealRot product operated at dealrot.app and describes how we handle your CRM deal data. The AVSaaS company-wide Privacy Policy also applies and governs any areas not specifically addressed here.
1. What Data DealRot Accesses from Your CRM
DealRot connects to your CRM using OAuth (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM) or API key (Freshsales) with the minimum scopes required to read deal records. Specifically, DealRot reads: deal name, pipeline stage, deal value, stage entry date, and last activity date. It does not read contact records, email content, meeting notes, company data, tickets, or any non-deal object.
The data we store is: your CRM integration credentials (encrypted), deal records at each daily scan, stage age and severity scores, and scan timestamps. We do not store personally identifiable information from your CRM contacts.
2. Data Residency
Scan data is stored in your chosen region selected at account creation: EU-Central (Frankfurt) or US-East (Virginia). Data does not replicate across regions.
3. CRM OAuth and API Key Permissions
DealRot requests only the minimum scopes required to read deal records from each CRM. We will never request write, delete, or admin scopes. If a CRM changes their API in a way that requires additional scopes, we will request your explicit re-authorization and explain exactly why each new scope is needed. Freshsales API keys are stored encrypted and used only to fetch deal records.
4. Retention and Deletion
Daily scan snapshots are retained for 90 days on a rolling basis. When you disconnect a CRM integration or cancel your account, all scan data for that integration is deleted within 30 days.
5. Notification Data
To deliver alerts, DealRot stores your configured notification channel credentials (email addresses, Slack webhook URLs, Microsoft Teams webhook URLs). These are stored encrypted and used only to deliver the alerts you have configured. We do not use these channels for marketing.
